That’s why we practice sustainable tourism when we take people sightseeing around Rotorua, which is a fancy way of saying we care for the natural habitat we work in.

We’ve made some pretty bold commitments to make sure the river, and the nature, that we love so much is here for generations to come. We’re focused on becoming the very first carbon-positive company in Rotorua, and we’ve made some big changes to accomplish this.

Firstly, it’s about power from sustainable sources. For us, that means our base camp will be all solar by the end of 2021,  Next up is travel, our hope is to convert to electric for all our Rotorua Central Shuttles. We follow the 7 ‘R’s religiously, refuse, reduce, repurpose, reuse, recycle rot, rethink. Our waste has been cut in two-thirds by composting and recycling to the absolute max. Not content with cleaning up our own act, we are also committed to cleaning up with our community. That’s why, every Monday, you’ll find our staff giving up their own free time to litter pick around Okere Falls. We support ‘Predator Free Okere Falls’ and the Department of Conservation in tree planting and predator trapping initiatives.
