Every Thursday evening, Tūtānekai Street comes alive with the best the region has to offer in arts, crafts and produce. The Night Markets are one of Rotoruas great local markets and a family-friendly must-do event, popular with locals and visitors alike. We can’t wait to line up for dumplings & vegan burgers!
Raft the Highest Commercially Rafted Waterfall in the World
You had to know this would be on our list. We can’t wait to get back on our awa and experience the adrenaline pumping nature of the Kaituna or Okere Awa.
Rotorua Rafting are the Kaituna River specialists, and offer the most spectacular whitewater rafting in Rotorua. Home to the largest commercially rafted waterfall in the world, Tutea Falls, do something adventurous after lockdown and send it with the best!

Coming Soon: Ziplining over waterfalls
The Rotorua Ziplines construction is well under way and shaping up to be one of Rotorua’s Must-Do activities. This adventure will see guests soaring through the native canopy and flying over the water falls of the Kaituna river, if you’re lucky you’ll even spot some rafts metres below.
Rotorua Ziplines is located in the Ōkere Falls Scenic Reserve with six lines that send you flying through towering native trees and atop of thundering waterfalls at speeds of up to 80kph. The tour will have a strong focus on the cultural significance of the Ōkere awa (river) whilst connecting guests with activities and insight on how we can better the planet together.
